Case study

VibeOps

GTM Software Engineer · Contract, part-time · May – Jun 2026 · Remote

Researched where AI could win in civil engineering and construction, tuned an automated lead pipeline, and helped build the outreach tracker behind VibeOps’ sales process for its product, Reportly.

Problem

VibeOps was selling Reportly to engineering and construction firms. The team needed to know which problems were worth building for, find the right people, and follow up with every lead without anything slipping through.

What I worked on

  1. Market and opportunity research

    Research, competitive analysis

Built a ranked map of 100 AI-automation opportunities across 29 categories in civil engineering and construction. I scored each one on automatability, frequency and competitor gap, backed it with 90 cited sources, and distilled the results into 8 product wedges and messaging for the team.

  2. Automated lead pipeline

    Python, Reddit API, LLM

Tuned and supported the team’s lead pipeline, which pulls posts from the Reddit API, scores them on weighted signals, and clusters them with an LLM. It surfaced 45 qualified leads.

  3. Outreach and meeting tracker

    Google Sheets/Docs automation

Helped build the tracker that ran the team’s sales pipeline: automatic extraction of meeting notes from Google Docs, demo tracking, days-since-contact follow-ups, and AI-generated personalized follow-ups.

Tech

  • Python
  • Reddit API
  • LLMs
  • Google Sheets/Docs automation

Result

The team’s pipeline supported 166 meetings with 142 companies and 60 demos sent. The notes automation processed 175,000+ documents at about a 0.02% error rate.
